Qadiriyyah Lagos promotes Islamic unity spirituality
United in preserving Qadiriyyah spiritual heritage and unity
About Us
The Qadiriyyah in Lagos State is a respected Islamic spiritual organization devoted to promoting Islamic knowledge, unity, peace, and spiritual growth among Muslims. Guided by the teachings of Islam and the traditions of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, the organization continues to preserve the rich heritage of the Qadiriyyah order while strengthening brotherhood and community development across Lagos State and beyond.
Founded upon the teachings of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani in Baghdad, the Qadiriyyah movement spread across many regions of the Muslim world before becoming firmly established in Nigeria through respected Islamic scholars and spiritual leaders. In Lagos State, the organization grew through the contributions of notable scholars including Sheikh Maalam Baba, Sheikh Ahmada Rufai Salaty, and Sheikh Olohungbo, whose dedication strengthened the foundations of Islamic scholarship, leadership, and communal harmony within the movement.
Today, Lagos State Qadiriyyah continues to organize Islamic lectures, Mawlid celebrations, Qur’anic teachings, spiritual gatherings, and charitable activities aimed at promoting faith, discipline, peace, and unity among Muslims. Under the leadership of Khaleepha Muh Solihu Babaniji Amosa, the organization remains committed to preserving the spiritual traditions and values passed down through generations while fostering reconciliation, service to humanity, and the continuous growth of the Muslim community.
